Sweded: When you recreate a film, tv or music video using cheap props and a hand held camcorder.
On Monday the 14th November 2016 my class lecture Pat Higgings set my class and I a task. This task was to create a trailer or a scene from a current box office film and make it sweded.
Sweded: The summarized recreation of popular pop-culture films using limited budgets and a camcorder. The process is called sweding. Upon completion the film has been Sweded.
My crew and I, Josh, Shannon and Kate used the hit comedy Paul as our choice. I knew it would work well because of the props that were available at the college. Such as the Alien Mask and cardboard to create little hand held puppets.
We could improve on matching the scenes with the the trailer, this is because we tried using the scene when Clive and Graham look at each other and smile. So we made do with what we had.
I chose The Prodigy's song Out of Space, reason being it is a very comedy like song when put into a trailer such as Paul 2011 Movie. Also it matches the style of comedic value we was aiming at.
It was all in the inspirations style of Michel Gondry's technique of sweding.
