Amityville Horror Clip

On the 6th January 2016 I was given a task to complete a Horror sequence ,from Amenity Ville, by adding sound effects from youtube and free sound websites. Some of these sounds you can find are either really good and can also be awful. In addition to this task we was also told we had to make our own sound effects, and then use them for the Amenity Ville Horror Clip so we had one using found sounds and one of our own sounds.

To know what sound we had to find we looked through the clip and looked at actions what was being turned or what could possibly make noises. For example when the little boy twists the tap get a recording of metal scraping upon metal. The style of microphone you would use could be anything but it depends on the quality of recording, so you could use your phone but... it wouldn't have as good quality as a shotgun mic would have.

By using a range of different sound effects found of Youtube and websites I have managed to fill in the key sounds needed to create the Amenity Horror clip come to life. Although some of the sounds don't sound realistic but thats all I had to work with from free sounds. Despite how bad they may sound and out of time in some areas it does fill in the silence of what the original clip sounded like. Obviously the room needs an ambiance and it just being silent with the sound effects wouldn't be right it would be too bland, so I used the noise of an air conditioner. I used this sound because there is a scene where you can see an air vent so I thought it would be great to use it as a background noise as well as sound effect for the air vent.
