Tarantino is widely known for his great movie, his great camera shots, his witty dialogue and his flawless story telling techniques. His mainly used shots are Low angled & Tracking shot. He has 32 Writer credits and has won a staggering 109 awards for his work.
He has directed great films such as Reservoir dogs, Inglorious Bastards also Kill Bill. He is very well known for his Trunk Shots (POV), Corpse shot and Long Tracking Shots this give his films a unique style and so when an audiences see his films they will know its him for the style of shots. Also he mainly uses a range of 60's and 70's music in his films.
Our Lecture Nick, asked us to study Tarantino's film style and then go out to shoot a short scene. My group and I went out to film and the styles we used were the following, Black and White (Kill Bill), Corpse Shot (most of his films) and CCTV shot. Me and Mark Williams were actors with Harry Burfield being our Camera man and Operator. The Three of us came up with individual edits. I chose David Bowie's China Girl for my song it did and didn't work well so I feel maybe using James Brown would have been better.
Furthermore I thing Quentin Tarantino is an amazing Director and Screen Writer I love his movies. I believe he is an Auteur because he uses the same style of shot through out his films and this is what his director style is. Also he is a very frequent collaborator with Samuel L Jackson and Zoe Bell starring in a lot of his films.
