Steven Spielberg
Born: 18 Dec 1946 (age 69) Cincinnati, OH
Steven Spielberg is one of the most famous, if not the most famous screen writers and directors in the world. His vision for the screen play and visual camera style is amazing. With films such as Jaws, ET, Jurassic World and Schindler’s List under his belt he has definitely marked his foot on the moon.
In Jaws Spielberg uses a really great style of camera movement using cutting, because the first jaws film didn’t have a mouth drooling budget most of the props were donated or hand built for the film using scraps. Steven had a good idea from transitions, he uses people walking across the screen and every time someone had walked past the camera zoomed closer and closer towards Martin Brody played by Roy Scheider. Also the colour yellow is very significant throughout the scene signifying danger is coming. Lastly the use of the contra-zoom adds great effect to the scene indicating something bad has happened or he has noticed something, the thing he noticed obviously was wee a boy had been eaten by a shark.

Spielberg has popular sound tracks to his films and they are so popular that people can just hum them, there are so many examples such as Jurassic Park, Jaws and ET all great famous soundtrack that makes his films famous. He uses John Williams to create his soundtracks and John Williams is a very famous composer for famous films.
Spielberg has also won three Oscars, two being for Schindler’s List and one for Saving Private Ryan.
