Job Roles On Set


There are loads of different roles in Film and TV in production, filming and post production. Every role is very important on a film set not just the actors but the producers, location scouts etc.

The Management Jobs include:

- Accounting: They have all control over the money and will sort out all accounts so that everything is paid for.

- Catering: There job is to make sure everyone Cast & Crew are all fed during production.

- Casting Director: They are responsible for the casting of the actors and actresses for the main roles in the film or tv show, as well has the the extras.

- Location Director: These people are in-charge of finding locations for the film or show whether it is a forrest or building.

- Production director: The job for this role is to make sure the actors know what they are doing with in the scene. Also in-charge of overseeing the creative aspects.

- Title Designer

- Second Assistant Editor

All these role are important because if it wasn't for everyone behind the scene the set wouldn't be built, no heath and safety, no emergency services and the list goes on.

Runners are very important in the industry. Their roles are to Make Tea, Transport scripts and hire equipment, Taking messages, Looking after guests and Getting everything ready for shoots. This role in the industry offers good opportunities to go further in the Film and Television. They act as assistance to the producers helping preform the basic jobs around set. This ensures the smooth running process of production and makes everything run exactly to plan.
